With a mission to rewrite the recycling business and lessen the environmental effects of plastic waste, 2024 was a revolutionary year for us—full of accomplishments, expansion, and innovation.

A thriving workforce

Our team had a humble beginning with a shared vision for sustainability. We have grown steadily over time, bringing skilled professionals who have amplified our impact and broadened our perspective on recycling and sustainable production. Every individual brings an added dimension to our understanding of what is possible with recycling and sustainable production.

Recycling milestones

A wonderful achievement by JB rPET for this year was the amount of progress made towards recycling plastic waste. 22,525 MT PET wastes were collected and, correspondingly, 1.2 billion bottles prevented going to land sites or ending up as litter in our oceans. So, 1.2 billion bottles got a second life as products that are completely high in quality, and sustainable.

Leading through innovation

2024 was a landmark year for technological advancement at JB rPET. We pioneered chemical recycling—a groundbreaking process that won us the Modern Plastic Award 2024 for India’s rest chemical recycling plant.

1. Textile yarn applications: Including R POY and R FDY for a greener textile supply chain.
2. Packaging lms: Such as BoPET lms, combining durability and sustainability.
3. Industrial yarn applications: Including products like sewing thread and tire cord.

These developments have enabled us to deliver cutting-edge solutions to 15 new clients across industries, making JB rPET a trusted partner in sustainable innovation.

New feathers in our cap

This year marks our commitment to excellence and the mission of reddening sustainability. We have accomplished great milestones in quality, safety, and innovation, obtaining key certification that attest to our commitment to the highest standards:

1. US FDA certification : This reects our ability to adhere to stringent food-grade safety standards, enabling our recycled PET resins to be used in food-contact applications such as bottles, packaging sheets, and trays. 2. GRS: The Global Recycled Standard certification recognizes sustainable practices, informs about the ethical and environmental criteria for recycling processes, and emphasizes transparency and responsibility in every supply chain. 3. Oeko-Tex Certification : One of the most respected certification proving that our products meet extremely demanding international safety standards, such as being free from all hazardous substances and thus safe to be used by consumers.

The fact that JB rPET received a very prestigious award for the establishment of the rest chemical recycling plant in India was a very big honor for the company. It puts us among the market leaders in innovative recycling technologies, driving India towards a complete circular economy model.

These are growth milestones but equally mark a reaffirmation of our commitment to leading by example in sustainability, innovation, and environmental stewardship, so that together we take this step into the future with renewed energies to make a positive impact.
